Jessica has recently been released from a mental institution and moves to an isolated farm with her husband and their friend to get back to nature, simplify their lives and become farmers, basically. When they meet a new friend, things start to get weird for Jessica. Because of her recent past, though, there’s the question of whether things are all in her head. The fact that we get to hear the voices in Jessica’s head is a nice touch. It makes the whole thing a bit more real. The film itself it atmospheric and dreamlike more than scary or creepy and there aren’t any real scares to be found. The ending builds some thrills, but ultimately the movie takes too long to get there. Not a bad movie to watch with the lights out, it’s saved from a lower rating by a solid ending.
