Dark Night of the Scarecrow

Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)

A classic and a shining example of what you can get away with on tv.  The made-for-tv Halloween tale of supernatural revenge is a scare that you can sit down and enjoy with the kids.  They won’t get flooded with sex and gory deaths and you won’t have to watch sparkling vampires or friendly werewolves.  The pacing is a bit slow at times, but the performances more than make up for it, the story is strong and the mood is perfect throughout.  A must-see flick at Halloween.
